The birds and the bees
I might’ve just overthought this, but I love how in the first verses, everyone in Sohoku sings in groups (first-years/third-years; all-rounders/sprinters/climbers) and Hakogaku sings in solos. It really shows how Sohoku is more of a “team” and Hakogaku is more individualistic. Not saying that one is better than the other, just that each team has its own dynamic: Sohoku and their teamwork, Hakogaku and their trust for every member’s skill. That’s what makes one different from the other, and what makes them both interesting.
